About this research

This is Braver Angels’ own evaluation of its program, authored by researchers Eliza Tanner Hawkins and Jeff Witmer, who analyzed pre- and post-event survey data from participants across the organization’s workshops and events held between 2020 and 2023. Part 1 reports statistically significant increases in participants’ warmth toward political outgroups after attending, with the strongest effects in its flagship Red/Blue workshops, along with breakdowns by participant demographics and education level.
